PairSoft’s feature-rich AP, procurement, and fundraising automation solutions are driven by a team of experts who have spent years building and working with the products. We sat down with Janet Martin, who has complete knowledge of our procurement automation, to learn more.

Which PairSoft product falls under your expertise?

Our procurement product, WorkPlace, which has an out-of-the box direct integration with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Dynamics 365 BC, NAV, and SL; Sage Intacct; Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT; and NetSuite.

Describe PairSoft’s procurement automation in a nutshell.

Our procurement product has so many tools to help your organization gain efficiency, streamline and reduce the approval process, and control your spend management and budgets.

What would you say is the most common misconception about procurement software?

That it’s just a tool to help create purchase orders and that you’ll have to buy more ERP licenses. Although WorkPlace has many tools to help create purchase orders — including punch-out integration, internal catalogs, and shopping lists — it also has a robust routing-rule engine to speed up approvals. WorkPlace has the ability to also create receiving transactions and post JE for accruals, as well as invoice-matching and creating non-PO invoices. There are a ton of add-on features like vendor contract tracking, projects, and expense, too.

One of our most notable features is that we can integrate your ERP GL budgets to track spend and provide warnings when exceeding budgets.  WorkPlace has unlimited user licenses, and WorkPlace users do not need to have an ERP license to use the the procurement software.

Which types of teams would you recommend procurement software to?

Accounting and procurement teams.

What makes PairSoft’s version of procurement stand out most?

Our true out-of-the-box integration — no uploading and downloading data between WorkPlace and your ERP. It’s all right there in the same place.

What’s your favorite feature of our procurement automation?

One of my favorite features is its ability to create single purchase orders from multiple requisition lines per vendor. This allows purchasers to take advantage of minimum order requirements for free freight and other discounts, saving a lot of time and money.

And, finally: You’re given an unlimited budget for a vacation this summer. Where are you going and why?

Greece! I have a friend who visits Greece every year and always comes back with incredible stories and pictures of the villages and beautiful seas.
