The main part of PairSoft’s welcoming, collaborative environment is its people. This month, we sat down with Angie, our Professional Services Operations Manager, to hear how she got into the field as well as her great explainer on the SaaS industry.
What’s your role at PairSoft, and what does it entail?
I am the Professional Services Operations Manager. I support our Professional Services Team by analyzing data to identify trends that help define and improve processes.
Which city are you based out of, and what’s your favorite thing to do during weekends there?
I live in Miami, Florida, so naturally I absolutely love the ocean. Whether it’s just lying on the beach and listening to music or going out on the boat with family and friends.
How did you first get into service operations?
I have always been passionate about helping others. Throughout my career, I purposely looked for opportunities to contribute internally, which resulted in a greater customer experience. There is nothing more satisfying than finding solutions that enhance people’s day-to-day operations. Early in my career, I held roles servicing internal customers. I started working with the PaperSave [a PairSoft sub-brand] Professional Services team as a Project Coordinator 10 years ago, supporting external customers, and I fell in love. Throughout the course of my tenure, I came to really understand and appreciate the end-to-end operations of a professional service center of excellence. To improve and optimize as we come up with new solutions and adjust our service offerings to deliver them successfully.
What do you think is the number-one thing people should know about the SaaS industry?
It’s an affordable, modern solution that’s accessible from anywhere in the world with internet access. It also offers the benefit and convenience of always having access to the latest version of the software without the burden of having to maintain servers.
What do you find to be one of the most innovative aspects of PairSoft as an organization?
PairSoft is a 100% remote company with an impressively connected team spread throughout the globe. They have an admirable people-first culture. They encourage professional growth and a healthy work-life balance. They appreciate our successes and support us during any struggles, which creates a team that desires to produce excellent work and provide our clients with the best experience possible.
Someone has hit the Reset button on your life and allowed you to choose any career possible. What do you choose?
Corporate event planning. I think it would be extremely rewarding to bring people together to learn and grow, or to celebrate an achievement or a holiday. Who doesn’t enjoy a good party? I passionately believe developing relationships is essential for any successful business. Internal events help create solid bonds between coworkers, and external events help create powerful relationships with potential and existing customers. It is a win-win.
And, finally: You’re given an unlimited budget for a vacation this summer. Where are you going and why?
Switzerland! Every image I have ever seen, no matter the season, has left me breathless. It would be a dream come true to one day hike one of their majestic mountains, have a picnic in a scenic meadow, and go on a motorcycle grand tour of the entire country.
